I’m currently working midnights on weekends or 3 x 10 hour shifts so my weekends are kind of messed up. I tend to vegitate pretty bad. So I’m hoping this week to at least get out and work on my garden or anything else but sit on my butt.
My plan for this week is to get to the gym at least 2 times and to spend at least 30 minutes each time there. I also cut my grass every week which takes me about 2 to 3 hours to do so I count that as an exercise day which is why I’m only going to go 2 times. As for food which is my biggest problem this week I’m only going to try and cut out my before bed snacks. I’m hoping that if I try and change my eating habits slowly that maybe it will work a little better for me.
I found a great site LoseIt to help me to keep track of my exercise and calories etc. And they even have my lawn mowing…didn’t realize I burned so many calories doing that =) So for today I’ve done pretty good so far. I’ve stuck to my limits and still have over 825 calories I can consume. I added in my house work for the day which was a little over an hour which worked out to 273 calories burned. I have my daily limit set pretty high right now as I don’t want to go from eating everything and anything I want to eating like a bird.
To keep the weight I am right now I need to consume a little over 3000 calories. I know that sounds horrible doesn’t it….I’m so ashamed.
Let me start again I need to consume 3ooo calories to keep the size I am now. They say the healthy amount to loose per week is by loosing 1 to 1 1/2 lbs per week. It takes 3500 calories to loose one pound so they say you need to cut back on 500 t0 750 calories per day to achieve that. So I set my daily allowance at 1800 calories which is still going to allow me to loose weight at a healthy rate instead of using the recommended amount of 1385 per day. Doing it my way will allow me to loose about 2.4 lbs per week which still is more than I should loose but not as drastic as the 3.2 lbs suggested by the sites. And to be honest it lets me work into this slowly instead of all of a sudden not being able to eat much at all.
I’ve tried dieting many times but always found I was sooo hungry that I gave up in a day or two. I’m hoping this will make me stick with it a little better.
I’m hoping to be able to cut my grass tomorrow. I was just going out to do it today and the rain let loose so needless to say I didn’t get it done. Instead I did some much needed housework. I really need to figure out a way to include housework with my gardening…lol.

Not too sure how often I will write here but there was something I wanted to write about and it didn’t really fit into any of the other categories so I thought I would add this one for the posts that don’t really fit anywhere else. What did I want to write about? Well if you know me at all you would know that I have forgotten…lol. Yep don’t have a clue so I’m going to go look for a plug in that will track my weight loss…I’m really hoping there is such a thing although I’m thinking of doing two different ones. One for lbs and the other for inches. If you have tried loosing weight at all you will know that you loose way more inches in the beginning that lbs which is why I get really crabby with The Biggest Loser when they are up there whining that they only lost 1 or 2 lbs when you can visually see the difference. Anyways I’m babbling again…yep have that problem too…I’m off to go plugin hunting….wish me luck
